Shanxi Yuci Broad Wire Products Co., Ltd. adopts a joint development model in technological research and innovation, led by the enterprise and technically supported by collaborative research institutions. The company consistently adheres to a path that emphasizes independent research and development as its core, integrating innovation with a blend of industry, academia, and research.

With the foundation set on the scientific research and teaching prowess of Taiyuan University of Technology, and aiming to cultivate employees with practical application skills aligned with the company's actual needs, the company and the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology reached a consensus. In 2017, they signed their first industry-academia-research agreement and a technical service contract. In 2021, an industry-academia-research cooperation framework agreement was signed with North University, and in 2022, a collaborative research and development agreement was reached with the Key Laboratory for Interface Science and Engineering in Advanced Materials, Ministry of Education, at Taiyuan University of Technology. These partnerships significantly boost the company's R&D capabilities, provide robust technical support, and strengthen continuous development. It also allows Taiyuan University of Technology to further its contributions in the fields of novel metallic materials, heat treatment, and stainless steel, aiding the institution in nurturing talents required by industries. The provincial-level enterprise technology center will leverage the collaborative advantages of universities and enterprises. Shanxi Yuci Broad Wire Products Co., Ltd., as a conduit for the results transformation and technical services of Taiyuan University of Technology, capitalizes on its strengths in the market for metallic materials, heat treatment, and stainless steel products, ensuring that scientific and technological achievements are financially backed and effectively transformed into productive forces.

Establishing an Industry-Academia-Research Model


The establishment of the industry-academia-research model has enabled the company to progressively stride towards internationalization in its technological innovation system construction, continuously enhancing its capability for technological innovation and forming an open mechanism for results transformation. Currently, during the R&D process of new projects, we have not only technological and equipment support from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology and the Key Laboratory for Interface Science and Engineering in Advanced Materials, Ministry of Education, but also from the Shanxi Provincial Energy Materials and Analytical Testing Engineering Technology Research Center and the technical and specialized equipment support from the University of Milan in Italy.
